JANAF - OIL PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION
JANAF pipeline was constructed in 1979 as an international oil transportation system from the tanker and terminal port of Omišalj to the domestic and foreign refineries in Eastern and Middle Europe. The designed pipeline capacity is 34 mln.t annually and the installed is 20 mln.t. The total storage capacity at Omišalj, Sisak and Virje terminals is 900,000 m3 for oil and 60,000 m3 for oil products. Oil terminals capaciteies are shown in the following table.

The JANAF system consists of the following:
- Reception and forwarding terminal of Omišalj Bay on the island of Krk together with the Omišalj tanker port;
- Pipelines in the total length of 759 kms with the sections: Omišalj-Sisak; Sisak-Virje (with a section to Lendava)-Gola (Croatian-Hungarian borderline); Sisak-Slavonski Brod (with a section to Bosanski Brod)-Sotin (Croatian-Serbian borderline)- Novi Sad-Pančevo. 610 kms of the pipeline extend on the territory of the Republic of Croatia;
- Reception and forwarding terminals in Sisak, Virje and near Slavonski Brod (presently under construction);
- Omišalj-Urinj submarine pipeline, which connects the tanker and terminal port of Omišalj on the island of Krk with the INA - Rijeka Oil Refinery on land. The total pipeline length is 7.2 kms, 6 kms of which belong to the submarine section.
The following table shows diameters and lengths of JANAF sections and routs.
