Information Technologies, Communications
and Publishing Support to the Croatian Energy
Regulatory Council
The aim of the project is to provide IT and communications support to the Croatian
Energy Regulatory Council.
The project’s implementation revolves around the elaboration
of a preliminary project for IT and communications systems, and the commitment
to implement individual project phases depending on available funding. The project’s
realisation commenced with the acquisition of basic equipment, the institution
of a local computer network connected to an independent server and client network,
and the establishment of an Internet connection through a special server and associated
services. All the while, special attention has been given to the need to protect data
integrity within computer systems while, at the same time, allowing an open flow
of communication towards external subjects. The above activities were followed by
the design and activation of web pages on the Internet server. Support to the Council’s
publishing activities was provided by designing, editing and preparing Council Permits
and the Council Paper for publication
Future activities involve the elaboration of thematic
databases, the establishment of a documentation management system and other
tasks which are important for the functioning of the Croatian Energy Regulatory Council.
