The desire to achieve better digital communication within the Institute is linked to
another goal - the establishment of a digital library which would contain expert and
scientific publications by the Institute’s employees (including master’s and doctoral
theses), as well as publications by other authors.
The creation of a true, highquality
digital library which would include all necessary services is still but a vision
at the moment. However, first steps toward this goal have already been made by
developing the Intranet portal EIHPIWEB. The portal enables users to search documentation
that has been processed and browse through available publications by
following hyperlinks through a thematically organised collection. It is the intention
of the Institute to make the said collection available via Internet as a part of its
efforts to realise the vision of the Institute as an institution for education and promotion
of new technologies. The portal enables users to access international bibliographic
databases such as INIS and WEC.
