The aim of this project is to implement the Energy Sector Development Strategy of the Republic of Croatia in the natural gas sector.

Under the framework of the project, expert assistance is provided to the Croatian gas transport company Plinacro in developing the document: Development, Construction and Modernisation Plan for the Gas Transport System of the Republic of Croatia in The Period 2002 - 2011. The Plan involves the construction of key gas transport facilities (pipelines Pula - Karlovac and Kutina - Slavonski Brod). Its implementation in the period 2003 - 2006 required the elaboration of a detailed economic and financial analysis. Funding for the implementation of the Plan has, in part, been secured from the new Tariff System for Gas Transport for Gas Suppliers and Eligible Gas Consumers (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia No. 99/02). Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar participated in the development of the Tariff System.
