Energy Development Plan
The main goal of this project is to elaborate the Energy Development Plan for the
City of Zagreb in conformity with concepts governing the process of regional energy
planning. This Energy Development Plan will then be compared with basic development
plans for the gas, electricity and heat distribution systems.
Project activities
consist of the elaboration of an energy database for a selected base year, an estimation
of energy demand until the year 2020 for households, services and industry,
and a simulation of future energy supply. A survey was conducted on a sample
of 3,000 households. Its aim was to calculate energy demand for heating (space
heating, cooking, hot water preparation) and non-heating purposes. Actual data on
electricity, heat and gas consumption was used to process information on the service
sector and industry.
